The clans of Sovereign are a bit different than the clans of the original Warriors books, but still follow the same template. The rankings have remained the same, with leaders, deputies, warriors, et cetera. However the adherence to other rules has fallen, or completely changed.
Rituals for naming, burying, and whatnot remain, but cats no longer see the dire need to follow them, and occasionally leaders crop up in clans that decide to make their own rituals and guidelines. This may momentarily upset their clan, depending on how drastic the change, but usually it is accepted as a consequence of a power change.
A belief in StarClan has also stuck around, though for the most part StarClan's role in clan life has been relegated to formality and passive interference. Only in dire need to clan cats pray to StarClan, and dreaming with them is usually only done when leaders need be named or guidance actively sought. In their new territory there is no physical place where StarClan be reached, such as the books' Moonstone, and cats rely solely on their own natural dreams to commune.
It is worth noting that BirdClan refuses to believe any of this hoo-hah, and strictly adheres to the Warrior Code as it is in the books, and has an active and happy relationship with StarClan. They occasionally lament the lack of a concrete place to commune with StarClan, but no such place has yet to be found.
The clans still have monthly Gatherings, done at a gate that leads into both the park and the graveyard, though this is less for announcements than it is for simple socialization between clans and their members. Gatherings also do not end if the skies happen to be overshadowed, and it is not so dire if a clan does not happen to arrive due to one thing or another.
Overall, cats have more individualized beliefs, disregarding BirdClan, and disagree more often on what is and isn't according to the Warrior Code, seeing as it's been bent and interpreted so many different times and ways.
