a p p e a r a n c e ; Acidhaze is something of a different sort of breed of wild cat. He doesn't have much fur on his body, leaving it exposed to the cold temperatures. Both his parents though are short hair cats. Unknown to them though, Dogfang's father was a Devon Rex and so was Birdfeather's father. Acidhaze is black and white in color. He is what would be described as a tuxedo pattered tom. He is a beautiful tom though and his fur is very soft, like kitten down. His fur is a little bit wavy, giving him a somewhat funny look. But he is definitely cute. He doesn't have too much muscle to him as both his parents were not very active kitty-pets. But Acidhaze does tower over his brother in bulkiness. His eyes are a little different than normal but nothing too amazing. He has hazy green eyes, hence his suffix. They are darker green around his pupil and get lighter further away from his pupil, giving it a hazy look.
p e r s o n a l i t y ; Everyone in RatClan already knows that Acidhaze is partly blind. But what they don't know is that even with his blind eyes, his strong gut instincts gives him a little bit of an advantage over some. He never ignores his gut feelings. Even as a kit he felt a strong nervous feeling when his siblings would go off to explore and he just simply would not budge. He never gave in to the taunts of his siblings and other kits/young apprentices. It just was never in his nature to do so. But being partly blind has had some emotional strain on the tom. It was hard for him to make friends, even with his friendly demeanor. Even through his apprenticeship his only friend was really his Medicine Cat mentor. He was the only cat that didn't concern himself with Acidhaze's "handicap". In fact, Jaggedear ignored it and pushed Acidhaze to be the best he could be. He even helped him to socialize more.
Though, Acidhaze can get moody at times and snap at others. Not purposely of course. Acidhaze is never one to stay mad for very long. He would go off to be by himself for a bit than return to say sorry. Or even just say sorry first and than ignore everyone afterward. He isn't the type to talk about his feelings and when he does its only for a brief second than he'll change the subject. But he is very loving and affectionate toward the ones he loves. He isn't afraid to show that side of himself. He rarely fears being judged, and when he does it is StarClan's judgement he seeks. He is a very strong believer in StarClan but it is only because he is a medicine cat. If he were not, he does not believe he would believe in StarClan. Maybe it is just because of his parents' background but either way, he now and will forever believe in StarClan.
h i s t o r y ; family; Birdfeather (formerly Birdie) - mother Dogfang (formerly Dog) - father Tumblestep - brother Patchface - sister Jaggedear - mentor (best friend)
As common as his history my sound, it did happen. Acidhaze was born to two kitty-pets. They lived in a house with five two-legs, three of which were two-leg kits. Birdie was the Queen while Dog was the father of the unborn kits. The two-legs didn't know anything about getting their pets fixed or that Birdie was in deed holding a litter of kits. But she got fat and the two-legs reduced the cats food, so starving, Birdie resorted to hunting outside. She was not that good and Dog was no better. It was RatClan that noticed the couple in distress and offered to help, provided that their kits train in the Warrior Code when they are old enough. Feeling as they had no other choice if they wanted to survive, they joined RatClan in hopes of keeping both themselves and their kits alive. While Birdie was kept in the nursery, Dog was out learning how to hunt and battle. Their names were changed in hopes they would stay and become full RatClanners. They did stay in the end because they didn't want a repeat of last time.
When the kits were born, Birdfeather being inexperienced with Warriors names, named her first son Tumblekit, her first daughter Patchkit and her last son was named by Dogfang and he chose Acidkit. Their reasoning behind the toms' names was rather odd, but RatClan didn't seem to care too much. Tumblekit was named because he tumbled around a lot after birth. Acidkit was named because Dogfang heard the word from the two-legs a lot. He liked the sound of the word and refused to let it be changed when anyone would bring up a different name. So to respect the wishes of the parents and to convince them to stay, no one argued with Dogfang again. The three kits grew up knowing they were originally supposed to be kitty-pets but believing they were full RatClan no matter what.
Acidkit though, showed signs of being more fit for a different role in the Clan. He was more hesitant that any other kit and he didn't really like exploring. It didn't concern anyone because he was a very social kit and talkative too. They just thought he was more mature. It wasn't until the three were apprenticed did anyone notice Acidpaw's lack of sight. In the territory he was very cautious but would still run into objects like trees and bushes. His mentor and the other mentors/warriors became concerned. He was examined by the medicine cat of the Clan and it was obvious that Acidpaw wasn't going to be able to be a full warrior. Devastated, Acidpaw retreated to the apprentice den where he stayed for a good two days. It took both his siblings to bring him out and help him accept his new role in the Clan as a medicine cat apprentice.
It took him a long time to come to terms with it all. He still has some issues with how he was chosen but now finds it easier to just accept it than to argue with StarClan.
n o t e s ; I can change his name but I really don't want to. Lol. Sorry it took so long to finish him. My work schedule has become stupid because a couple people have quit at my work and now I have more hours and they are really dumb shifts too. Plus I just got a 4 month old puppy, so he has been a handful too.

Don't worry about the time or anything, it's fine. And we can deal with a few odd names here and there, so that's fine too. :P
Accepted.
