Golden Rule: Don't be a jerk.
OOC Rules
- For the love of everything good and great don't spam.
- Respect your fellow members regardless of their real-life situation or choices.
- Take a glance at Proboards' Terms of Service.
- Cursing is fine. Overdo it and your post will be edited into something silly and self-berating.
- Type with correct grammar and spelling to the best of your ability. Nothing is more irritating than a string of gibberish in the name of 'typing faster'.
- We are a mature site with themes you may not agree with all the time. Try not to moderate the board to your tastes.
- That being said, don't post or link to any NSFW (not safe for work) material. If you're not sure if what you're posting is appropriate, chances are it's not.
IC Rules
- No god-moding, power-playing, or mary-sue-ing.
- Try to mimic the post-length of your threadmates, as that will help suit everyone's style of play. However, keep in mind this is a paragraph style roleplay, and we would like at least ~300 words per post.
- Characters cursing is fine, and, having lived in the city, your characters may have picked up some foul human language. Just don't overdo it.
- Violence and gore are also fine, just be sure to leave a warning if you feel some members may not enjoy reading your detail.
- Explicit acts are not fine. Innuendo, references, and the like are okay to a degree, but remember we're not here to write erotica. Staff will request you edit your posts, or simply delete them, if we notice this going on.
- Battling is to be done in a cause-and-effect manner, in which you decide the cause (attack) and your roleplay partner decides the effect (damage). Staff will intervene if complaints are brought up, or notice funny goings-on.
Account & Character Rules
- One account per person, 4 characters to start with.
- Please no obnoxiously large signatures.
- One high-ranking character per clan, with a max of two high-ranking characters. High-ranking is defined as being a leader, deputy, medicine cat, or medicine cat apprentice.
- Rare breeds of characters are fine. Mental and physical defects are also fine, as long as you do your research.
- Not every character has a dark and brooding past. Not every character is out to ruin everyone else's day, murder your children, or sass their leader. Remember that.
- Characters should somewhat fall into their clan's stereotype. Exceptions are okay, but should be a very small minority.
