She-Cat 36 moons FishClan Leader
Personality: -fierce -quick to anger -protective -paranoid
Shadestar is a fierce she-cat, quick to leap into action. With a bit of an “Attack First, Ask Questions Later” attitude, her first instinct is always to leap to an attack. In her mind, a good offense is the best defense. Certainly never one to hesitate when her clanmates are threatened, she is horribly territorial. The slightest trace of a different clan’s scent will have her doubling the border patrols, giving her a rather paranoid aspect. She just cares about her clan. A bit more than is probably healthy.
She loves each and every member of her clan, and hates to see them injured. A phrase that can often be heard is “Increase the patrols!” Okay, so this isn’t always popular among the cats, but in her opinion it saves lives. Since she tries to avoid directly attacking the other clans, her temper must be expressed in some way, and the patrols tend to help soothe her more paranoid side. She tries to avoid needless deaths, and is hesitant to make hasty attacks. Still, she has no fear of battle when there is clear proof that her clan is in the right.
Her temper is quite a thing to be feared. First impressions are vital in a relationship with her, as she may forgive, but she never, never forgets. Her decisions are often rash and hastily made, as a result of this tendency to anger quickly. She gets awfully snappy sometimes, but that is only the result of stress. Being the youngest leader, and the only female one, certainly takes its toll on Shadestar. She does everything she can for her clan, but most FishClan cats are very war-like. It can be hard keeping them out of trouble.
In all honesty, this she-cat is really rather caring. She hates seeing blood shed needlessly, even though she can get quite defensive. At camp, among her clanmates, she is very social, chatting aimlessly with other cats just to know them better. She believes strongly in the value of hard work, and is always right there beside the rest of her clan during a fight. Often volunteering to go on patrols and hunting expeditions, she tends to wear herself out. She depends strongly on her senior warriors to keep her on her feet, and to hold her back when she tries to do everything at once. Appearance: -small and speedy -wiry and muscular -silver pelt, black spots -steely grey eyes
Can she be considered particularly beautiful? No, not really. Though her small, fragile form appears much more feminine than is normal for her clan, Shadestar really isn't anything to look twice at.
The first thing that cats tend to notice about the FishClan leader is that she is rather small. Even among other clans she is short; compared to the rest of her clan, she is downright fragile. Looks can be deceiving, though, and this also applies to her. Beneath her thin pelt lies layer after layer of steel-hard muscle. Her legs are especially developed, as her greatest asset in battle is her speed. She is very light on her feet, and is no doubt one of the fastest runners in her clan.
Her short, slick fur is a soft, silvery color. It gleams bright white whenever it catches the light. Black spots fleck her pelt, and stripes ring her legs and tail. Several small streaks decorate her face. Her steel grey eyes, often sparking with the heat of battle, tend to blend in to her fur. Her small nose and large ears are a very pale pink.
Due to her young age, Shadestar has very few scars, a usual trademark of her clan. Though she hits rather lightly, her agility tends to protect her from most wounds in the midst of battle. Her soft, velvety paws contain long, razor sharp claws, which often slide out whenever she is particularly annoyed. In all honesty, this happens quite often. History: Shadestar, actually, had quite a normal kit-hood. Her father was a normal warrior, no one particularly special. Her mother, granted, was half RatClan, but she was a very loyal cat all the same. The she-cat always felt the need to prove herself, and hated RatClan more than anyone else. Needless to say, this is a rather sore subject for the current leader. Anyone who dares say anything to her face soon has her claws at their throat.
Shadestar has a single brother, known as Nightclaw. He inherited their father's muscular characteristics, clearly FishClan, while the she-cat was stuck with a very clear resemblance to RatClan. She was often picked on because of this, and grew fairly jealous of her brother, the strong one. Even so, the two were very, very close. It hit her hard when Nightclaw was killed in a raid on RatClan. The other cats were accused of stealing FishClan's prey. It was only after many lives were lost that RatClan was found to be innocent.
Shadestar mourned the loss deeply, and, as a result, developed an insane hatred of RatClan. This drive to avenge her beloved brother hardened her into an excellent warrior, and she was promoted to Deputy at a very young age. The leader at the time wanted a younger, less experienced cat who he could teach. Yet, he was on one of his last lives, and had very little time to tutor her in the ways of leading. All too soon he had passed away, and Shadestar became the leader of FishClan. Family: -Thornpelt (father) (FishClan) - StarClan -Willowleaf (mother) (RatClan/FishClan) - StarClan -Nightclaw (brother) (FishClan) - StarClan Notes: Sorry if she's a bit young. I always find less-experienced leaders amusing. Lot's of room for growth.
