BirdClan
BirdClan is regarded as the peacekeeper, the just, of the Clans. They have kept to the Warrior Code the most of all three clans, and have a long-standing respect of tradition and rules. They are also the most willing to help others around them, even if they aren't always part of BirdClan. For some individuals, this leads to a sort of elitism, in which BirdClan cats are better than the "heathens" elsewhere who have more or less given up the Code.
BirdClan have, over the years, been able to take over most of the park, though it is worthwhile to note that they have done this through favors, talks, and deals rather than battles. They prowl the long open stretches of grass, the tree-lined paths, and fenced-in shrubbery. Like their clan name suggests, their main source of food are the birds of the park, and these cats have gained the reputation of being the fastest Clan due to it. BirdClan almost never takes in outsiders.
Outside opinion of BirdClan depends on the situation. Usually they are considered prudes, sticking so close to what others consider loose guidelines at best. They are also considered rather distant, due to the aforementioned elitism that runs in their ranks. However, should a time of trouble ever erupt, they are the clan that others look towards for help and guidance. Their leaders are almost always considered very wise, if narrow-minded, and BirdClan rarely takes part in violent skirmishes.
In three words: Pacifistic, proud, and kind.
FishClan
FishClan, since its inception, has been a force to reckoned with. When the clans were first formed, FishClan had the most obvious, easy, and steady prey source, and therefore attracted all of the strongest warriors to its shores. Since then, its cats have been the muscle of the three clans, and FishClan, unlike BirdClan, has never had any inhibitions about using it. They are not necessarily bullies, as they don't usually go out of their way to use force on others, but they aren't afraid to use this to their advantage should they ever feel threatened.
FishClan took up residence in a small, overgrown graveyard off the side of the large park the three clans first found. Parts of the graveyard are still in use, but FishClan tends to stick to its vacant portions for hunting purposes. FishClan gets its name from the large pond in the middle of the graveyard, that is stocked with fish by twolegs, much to the joy of FishClan cats in winter. Waterfowl are often frequent, and FishClan warriors are often large enough to take these birds down without much fuss. Due to this FishClan is normally the most well-fed of the three clans, and isn't apt to share its bounty. FishClan very rarely takes in outsiders, though is more apt to do this than BirdClan.
Other Clans view FishClan as selfish and muscle-headed, while FishClan views themselves as survivalists, and are fiercely loyal to their own clan. A threat to any one member is viewed as a threat to all, and the appropriate reaction is usually complete and utter destruction of the one who made the threat in the first place. Outside cats usually view this as reactionary and overzealous, but FishClan couldn't give a rat's tail for your opinion. FishClan has a long-standing rivalry with RatClan, whom they view as weak tricksters who have gone soft among the humans.
In three words: Strong, loyal, and territorial.
RatClan
RatClan has integrated the most with humans, and has hence the most deviation from their traditional life as forest clans. They pride themselves over thriving as wild cats while right under the nose of humans, though the other clans don't see this as the act of glory that RatClan does. Having to live among the alleys of the city, RatClan have grown quick of wit and of foot, and are said to be the most conniving and intelligent bunch.
RatClan makes it home on the other side of the fence, cut off from the grass and the hills of the other two clans. Occasionally RatClan cats will duck across the fence for quick hunting, as they do own a slice of a grassy area, but for the most part they keep to the alleys and yards of the humans. RatClan has adopted the most ragtag bunch, as they make no qualms of bringing willing kittypets and loners into their fold. They are named for the mice and rats that they usually make their food, finding the creatures in the nooks and crannies of their urban abode.
Other clans usually make a show of lording over RatClan, viewing them as cats tainted by twoleg contact. The fact that RatClan cats are usually on the smaller side, and sometmes prone to illness, does nothing to help their reputation. However, other clans do respect the high average intelligence of a RatClanner, and BirdClan will help them when needbe just as willingy as they would FishClan. RatClan has a long-standing rivalry with FishClan, whom they view as stupid, overly proud bullies.
In three words: Urban, clever, and ragtag.
